Boy's Day Fish

Supplies

  • 3" x 2" white cardstock
  • 3" x 2" white mulberry paper (or other fish color)
  • Scraps of black, red mulberry paper
  • Gold acrylic paint
  • Black acrylic paint
  • Sponge
  • Fine point brush
  • Tacky glue
  • Pin back
  • Low temp glue gun & glue sticks

Directions

  1. Trace and cut out fish from cardstock as indicated on the pattern.
  2. Spread a light coat of tacky glue onto fish and attach the 2" x 3" piece of white mulberry paper. Trim and fold over edges of mulberry paper. Glue edges to the back of the fish.
  3. Tear small pieces of black and red mulberry paper. Place on the fish body to make it look like a Koi fish. Glue pieces down. Let dry.
  4. Using the handle end of the paintbrush, dip dot eyes onto the fish with the black acrylic paint. Let dry.
  5. Glue pin back behind fish.
