Beaded Snowflake Ornament

Supplies

• 24” of 24 gauge colored wire
• 4 – 6mm Acrylic Faceted beads, color choice
• 16 – 4mm Acrylic Faceted Beads, same color
• Wire Cutters

Directions

1. Note: Each snowflake stem starts from the center and wraps outwards and returns to center of the snowflake. Keep the wire wrapping spacious and even around the base wires.
2. Start at one end of the wire about 1½” in. String on a 4mm bead. Wrap wire down to secure bead about ⅜”. Measure about 1” down and add a 4mm bead. Wrap wire to secure bead about ⅜” down. Measure about ½" down the wire and add a 4mm bead. Wrap wire down to the meet the already wrapped wire. Shape this portion into a “V” for the tip of one snowflake section.
3. Continue wrapping the wire until you meet the opposite side of the first bead. Measure about ½” of wire and add a 4mm bead. Wrap the wire to secure the bead. Continue wrapping the wire until you have a ½” stem. This forms one stem of the snowflake.
4. Measure out about 1¼” on the wire and add a 6mm bead. Wrap the wire to secure the bead. Continue wrapping the wire until you meet the bottom of the first stem.
5. Repeat the above steps three more times to get the eight snowflake stems. When complete, wrap wire several times around the center to secure. Shape wire into the snowflake shape. Use as an ornament or card decoration.
